Trick to viewing Parts Reference Manual ?!

Postby jonbreen2000 » Mon Oct 20, 2008 3:10 pm

Thanks for the website and the manuals !

I downloaded the 'Honda GL1000 GL1100 GL1200 Parts Reference' manual and unzipped it. However I can't get it to see the databases! It looks like it's looking for a file with a '.ald' extension, but the closest file has a '.alb' extension.

Is there a trip to this? I've tried changing the extension to the '.ald' but that didn't work.

Thanks,
-Jon

You're right...there is a problem with that one. With a few minutes of fiddling I was able to get it working, but I'll have to go into it and fix it so it works right out of the box. Thanks for letting me know.

I downloaded to 1000 parts manual and its very usefull, even if pages 100 to 109 are missing, the 'tank' cover assy.
I used the down load manager available on the site and it all worked well, just take time to read all the bits. It then produced a PDF file but I cant remember exactly how. Also worked for shop and service manual.

OK, I've fixed this file and re-uploaded it. When you extract it, make sure you extract it with the folder structure intact. Then just click on the SEARCH.EXE to start it up, and you will see all the different Goldwing models to select from.
