Newbie to the Goldwing club

Postby yaont2 » Thu May 19, 2011 11:47 pm

Hey guys, I just wanted to share with you my new ride. Just got it this week. 1978 GL1000 with 43,000 miles. I'm told everything is original and it rides amazing. I do have a question about the saddle bags...... When I picked the bike up, the guy had them off and I'm not sure exactly where they bolt to. Any help would be greatly appreciated. See you on the rode!

Welcome to the board. Nice looking. Was it repainted?

I am not sure, but your bags do not look like Honda to me, more like HD or Yamaha Venture.

Thanks for the help and encouragement guys! I found out that the bags are late Bates bags, and I just finished installing them about 20 min ago! The bike now looks like the pic again.
