Tunnel Fillers

Postby anglerdude » Sat May 21, 2011 10:13 am

I just purchased a 2001 Goldwing ABS. I am beyond happy :D . Moved up from a 1981 Wing that I loved as well. My question is,...I am considering purchasing some "tunnel fillers" and was wondering :? if anyone uses them and are they as useful as they appear for keeping wind, noise and debris from coming up.
thanks

I have them, just because I wanted to block the holes. I never had a problem with wind or dust coming up around the forks, and adding the fillers changed absolutely nothing, but I like that the large area around the forks is full.. It has to improve things, but I can't say I can tell any difference, I would fit them as they are quite cheap.

After using them for one winter and this spring, I think they are a complete waste of time and money, even if they are cheap. JMHO

thank you for your responses. I was thinking also they may be more of a gimick than functional but I have them so I will try them today for a day trip to Payson.
thanks again

Hey anglerdude. Just rode through your city last Wednesday. On the way to Jerome from the south. Hit rain and hail twice just before Jerome. Had to stop and get under a tree.

Yes Jerome is a great place to visit. Did you take the I17 route or go over Mingus Mountain. The route over Mingus Mtn. is much slower but a beautiful ride.
