Wow...we passed a milestone today. 30,000 posts (and counting). When I first started this site, it was nothing more than a place to throw a few files up for people to share. It's grown far beyond anything I had ever imagined, and I have to thank you all for that.

Re: 30,000 posts
Well it clearly wouldn't be what it is without significant investment from you.. There are many sites out there, but few have as big and friendly following as this site, and that has to be down to the way you set it up and run it.. Congrats Admin, I love being on here and particularly talking with all the friends that I have never met in person!! (You included!!

A BIG congratulations to WingAdmin for the outstanding job on producing and maintaining this wonderful site. AND a BIG thank you to all of you Wing riders out there who participate in this site. As a very new rider, in my extremely short season and a half of riding, I have learned a lot from all of you. Thank all of you for your expertise and your willingness to share it.

Re: 30,000 posts
Quite a few. I try to read every message that gets posted - sometimes I'll fall behind, especially if it's a nice weekend and I'd rather be out riding! I work at the computer all day, so when I'm waiting for something to run (or on a particularly dull conference call) I'll pop over and catch up. I need more hours in the day!WA9FWT wrote:Also Congratulations are in store for all the work you put into it. That was June 20, 2011 that we hit 30,000 posts. Today, 3 1/2 years later, as of about 3:00 am this morning, we hit 140,000 posts.seelyark1 wrote:Ditto's for all that have replied before.Wonder where we stand now

We also hit another milepost this month: earlier this month we made it to 60,000 users!

Thanks and congrat's to you Wingman a red letter day when you had this idea. I don't think there's a day when I don't browse the site to see what's going on in the world of Goldwings, and keep track of what everyone is up to!
Keep up the good work.

Re: 30,000 posts
Pretty gosh darn good site I would say, I have had a hoot of a time here, from coming up with strange ideas, making my own tire changer, my own timing sight cap, my own trailer, alt. conversion( Todd)
, and refiguring the vacuum advance canisters issues, and figuring how to install my timing belts my way, so it's fool proof... I have had the time of my life... Love the dyna beads idea,,, how to install them ect.... People that post photo's really tell the story.. it's the best way as we are visual creatures....All the different solutions to one problem is another thing I like, it makes you think, you think and you learn.... I actually took apart the ignition switch, wow....
tachometer too... Holy smokes.... If one thing good this site has provided me with is this,,, Confidence...
Oh I haven't had any issue with my 81 so I haven't needed to post much lately,, still love reading stuff and poking fun from time to time...Feel free to poke at me anytime you want,,,,might get entertaining...

Re: 30,000 posts
This IS a cool site, but 60,000 users? Sorry, this is the "analyst" in me always questioning....how many have logged on in the last 2 years? 60,000 seems like a helluvalot. My Gmail buzzer would be on a constant buzz letting me know about emails dropped in if that was the case.
Did I say this IS a cool site?

Re: 30,000 posts
Just looking through the lists of members, and I find a lot of members who must be reading, but never posting. As Mag noticed, if everyone of these posted the lists would really put the Internet under a bit of a strain, but just for a millisecond
It is still a great site, for those that post, thanks, for those that do not post, thanks for reading, and to our ever busy WA, a big thanks!
I trust you Northerners did not get buried under snow, and that you have not gone crazy with cabin fever. We still have nice weather, so it is still good for riding, but keep smiling.

Correct, a very large majority of users read posts, but do not post anything themselves.redial wrote:Just looking through the lists of members, and I find a lot of members who must be reading, but never posting.
