1985 GL1200A...Are fork seals a fairly easy do it your self project?

Look at the "how to articles".I replaced mine last month.The work,with 2 coffee breaks,was about 2 hours.

If you have a clean area, some basic tools and a few hours free, its a very easy job..

As mentioned look at the "How To" section for detailed pictures and explanations..

Thanks. I have a shop manual and plenty of coffee. The Goldwing is a new experience for me (first one). I've always wanted one and don't want to screw anything up.

Glad you asked the question as I might tackle mine to, but then I got thinking, I have air ride, would it be the same? Does it need anything if theres no leakage and the air works good? If it does........ I own a coffee shop and I have plenty of time! :lol:

EDIT*: Forgot to mention, mine is a GL1200L, not a GL1200A

Same same,just get the air out first :lol: Leave the forks on the bike.
