No Pegs on Trike with weight-bearing Aquashields

Postby kerrsys » Tue Jul 12, 2011 2:35 pm

Taller rider, cramped riding position, hips hurting from long rides. Just triked the bike with a Roadsmith rig. Have aquashields. Considering losing the pegs to gain an extra couple of inches of leg room. Not sure of the impact on shifting and braking. Anyone with experience in doing the same?

When I was building trikes I had taller riders request the foot pegs be removed when the auqashields were installed and they didn't seem to have a problem. I don't know if the foot peg lowering brackets would work if you had any problems with braking and shifting.
I don't normally direct people to other forums, but I can direct you to a trike forum and you'll get even more opinions on the subject too.
