Another new Georgia member here

Postby Southern Man » Thu Aug 04, 2011 8:03 am

Hello Foks.

Mike here from south Georgia *100 deg summer zone*

I have 4 Harley Heritage Springers but my wife will not ride with me on 2 wheels but while watching a Can-Am ad last summer she siad she might ride on one of them. That day we went and test drove the CAn-Am and she enjoyed the open air. That same afternoon we test drove the Harley Tri-Glide, she liked it even more because the rear end was a block between her and the pavement. Next week we bought a low milage Tri-glide but sold it after 2 months because it was like ridding on a toaster oven. We now have a GL1800 with a CSC trike kit on it. There is honestly a couple things I like about the Harley better but overall the Honda is a nice cruiser and it is much cooler.

When not ridding I sell Golf carts, enclosed cargo trailers and have just started to build pull behind motorcycle trailers. We are active members of the Heritage Springer Club and attend 4 rallies every year. Anyone in the south who wants to hook up to ride please give us a shout out.

Welcome, nice trike... I tried a GW 1500 trike for a couple years. It was totaled last month, and decided I didn't like it enough to replace it with another. Went back to two wheels with the help of a couple landing gear training wheels with the hydraulic lift to them...The jury is still out on those. I have found a number of things I don't like unless I can master the situation better. I too went to the trike for the wife...although she will ride the wing either way, two or three wheels.
Enjoy the forum, enjoy the ride

Here I thought you figured we all knew what the front end of the bike would look like, since they are pretty much the same. The front end is prettttty too.
