I like to convert my gl 1800 to synthetic oil. What kind of synthetic I should used?

I am new to Gold Wings and to the site but my Dad who is a long time Gold Wing rider told me to use Mobil One Racing 4T 10W-40.

Did you Know how often he change The oil in km

Over on the trike site more folks use Blue Jug Rotella than any other brand.

Amsoil, always. Been using it in all my vehicles for 30 years. If you are not familiar with them, check
their web site.

Moblie 1 for me,,been running it for years and change every 3500,,,lots of guys I know are runnning it in there 1800 have have been for a while now ,,,no problems ,,,each to his own..

That's a good recommendation. I've used a couple of different ones from Mobil 1 to a Case 0-40. I don't buy into the Amsoil mystique. It all lubricates. I'll likely use Rotella in the future.

I think it's great that lots of folks are into synthetic oil for their bikes regardless of brand.
