Just got back from Sturgis, did not ride the bike this year and did I miss it. We was there 2 daqys before the actual rally to beat the crowd and that worked. Did not seem like there was as many bikes going that way as usual.

I guy I know went out there last week to beat the crowed and this week he's in Colorado. It sure seems nice in retirement.

Been to Sturgis once in the off season. No point except to say you've been and to get a t-shirt. Last year's t-shirts cost almost nothing. It's a ghost town before or after bike week. However I wouldn't go during bike week. I don't care for the crowds or bumper to bumper traffic or.........

I went out DURING bike week in 07 - then went back the week AFTER in 09. We didn't go to the Buffalo chip, or out to glencoe - but we did go to Sturgis for about 4 hours....rode spearfish, and needles, all around Custer park, out to Little Bighorn and back, and of course went to Mt Rushmore. For some reason, it seemed like alot more fun to me when the place was packed with bikes. The week after, I just felt like I had missed out on something.
We slept in a tent both years....and part of the thrill of it all, was the constant droning of motorcycle engines throughout the area.....just a constant low pitched hum. SO COOL!

I'd love to go back....but I have other items on my bucket list I have to knock out before making any repeat visits.
