Much better picture of 1995 GL1500SE

Postby faithtalker1 » Sun Sep 04, 2011 10:17 am

Well my first attempt was pretty bad at posting a very fuzzy and hardly visible photo of my new baby lol, so I took her outside and took a few pics, cause I wanted everyone to see how hard I worked on cleaning it up :D I am so proud of me, So anyway I think this picture does better justice to the bike anyway, hard to believe how good of shape this thing is in for being over 16 years old. 34,260 miles on her, barely broken in and the mileage is nearly identical to the 86 aspencade I traded in several years ago. The day after I traded the bike I went back to the dealer and tried to purchase the bike back and was told it had already sold while in the shop being serviced, really sound a beautiful wing, but any way now I got a 1500 instead of a 1200. So here is the better pic.

She's looking great! Now get out there and rack up those miles! I can't wait to get home and take my old gal for a ride. It's beautiful outside

Mercness I leave Tuesday or I should say Wed, very early A.M. like 3:00 to head for West By God Virginia, I will meet a buddy of mine of 36-37 years in Fairmont my hometown and then leave out Thurs A.M. for the panhandle. We do a trip every year to some place new, this year we decided we have both been really busy at work and pressed for time so we are staying a little closer to home and I Love the mountains anyway. The only problem with going this time of year is the cool and the deer. So have a few things to be careful with. I am sure I am gonna love the heat vents on this machine, seeing how as I get older and all the scar tissue I don't handle the cold very well anymore. But I know this will keep a lot of the weather off me. Thanks for the props on the Bike I thought I did pretty well considering what I seen them going for elsewhere, has a few issues, but nothing major..

I will have to agree white would have been my choice if buying new, but I do also like the teal that they do as well. But seeing as how I was too poor when they was new on the market for me to buy one I took what I could get. I did see one here a while back that just the paint job (custom) was appraised at like $11,000.00 So there are some custom painted ones out there too that are really sharp. Any way you stack it I got my wing back. :D

My wing is feeling forgotten!! With all this dry weather I have been riding my Dual sport everywhere and the poor wing has sat in the garage.. Will have to drag her out and go for a spin soon.

Nice looking wing (Both of them)..
