Changed her mind

Postby grandpa » Mon Sep 05, 2011 6:44 am

My wife did not like riding on a MC. But when I bought this "big mashine" and she tried a trip she changed her mind. The only thing I had to put on before she would go with me was armrest.

So here is the result:

Got arm rest for mine and my wife is just not a motorcycle gal at all. I tried what can i say I had hoped after getting the wing she would enjoy it, but no luck. I guess I can't expect her to ride a bike with me if she doesn't like the way I drive our car when we go somewhere. But glad your wife was convinced, hope you have loads of fun traveling the open road. Stay safe and enjoy.

Hi faithtalker1

When you talk about your wife complaning of how you drive you car I know how you feel. My wife does the same. But one evening sitting home and my wife was knitting I startede coplaining abour her work, not so fast, not so rough, the wrong way and so on. She got a little upset and ask why I was complaining her knitting , but when I told her that she did the same about me driving the car, we had a good laugh.

Do I need to tell I love my wife.

I had my wing for 2 years and the wife would NOT get on the thing to save her life. One day she called me on her way home from work complaining and stressed to the max. She got home and I told her we were going out and to not say a word. We got outside and I handed her a helmet and told her to put it on, she started to say no and protest but I reminded her to not say a word and get on. The first 5 minutes I could barely breathe she had such a death grip around my chest. I then realized she had relaxed her grip after about 10 minutes and then after about 20 minutes she was laid back with her arms on the arm rest. Now she comes to me saying, "It is a good day for a ride".

Before you order anything from Saber Cycle, you might want to read the user comments on them here.

Hi

Before I ordered from Sabre Cycle I red about them, but it was the only place I found them for sale. I were a little suspiscius but my dealing with them was ok. I have only dealed with them once. I found armrest other places but they were fold down type and that is not what i wanted. But agree, read about them first and make your dicision from there.

Grandpa, I'm glad you got her on the bike. I don't enjoy riding nearly as much without mine. She is the ride along cruise director. Hope you have many happy, and safe miles together... :D

Still trying to convince mine that people really don't care what her hair looks like. But, she still ain't buying it. I understand she gets knots in her hair, and I tell her vanity is not becoming her, but she won't buy that either. So maybe I should just change my nick name to the Lone Ranger, and try and at the very least find a Tonto who will ride their bike with me.

My girlfriend finally agreed to go on a "SHORT TRIP" the other day. We are supposed to be going this weekend. We will see how short this trip is gonna be after she gets settled =] Sure is gonna be nice having her on the back!

I have a different problem, my wife keeps wanting to ride on the back of my wing, but as we have two daughters 11 & 13 , my wife has to ride her own bike with one daughter on the back, whilst the other goes on the back of me!! My wife is counting the days till the kids leave home for college and she can then ride behind me  .. She loves riding but says she can never really look at the scenery, hence her desire to go on the back of me, so she can admire the view!! Not the one in front of her (Me!) :) but the countryside around us!!

I also sort of have the same problem of the wife wanting to go every time I fire up the wing. Sometimes I just want to go ride to get a break from her. There are some real disadvantages of being retired I found out. No escape from the Honey Do list. Always want her along for the Rallys and for most cross country trips, but I like the ability to run in the wind by myself too.
