Having found the thread on synchronising GL1100 carbs very helpful, I thought the least I could do was sign up!

Thanks, guys. I've actually been lurking around since I got my Wing in the summer, and I've done the cambelts, cooling system and [recently] carbs with advice from this website in mind and printouts to hand!

Yes, it was a cheap Wing! Fortunately, I like getting my hands dirty [raised on Triumphs, Nortons and BSAs, so inevitable!].

Here's the beast [sorry, photography isn't one of my talents!] in all her glory. Came with the Vetter fairing, which is very effective, and Krauser supports, cases and topbox. Around 50,000miles, she has decent tyres, a new battery and everything except the tachometer works or was easily made to work. There's a bit of surface rust on the frame, but nothing that a bit of attention and a tin of Hammerite won't sort out. The exhaust has seen better days, but isn't disintegrating: winter job. Best of all, I really like riding it: obviously it's good on main roads and motorways, but it's also surprisingly good for such a big bike on twisty, give and take roads.
