Hello From Alabama

Postby speedy1 » Tue Nov 01, 2011 8:43 pm

Hello everyone. I just recently bought a 1995 Goldwing SE with 51,000 on it. So far so good, but I'm looking forward to learning more about the bike from you guys. So far some of what I've read on here has been put to good use. Weather looks good thru the weekend here and I feel some riding time coming. This is a big step up for me from my Honda Aero 750.

Welcome to the forum from the Great White North. :) I wish we could ride up here, but getting very, very cold. Time to put the bike away for a few months.

I also echo the good wishes other members have voiced. I am envious of you being able to ride all year. I took about a 100 mile run the other day, and it will be my last for the year. The cold don't really bother so much It is the darkness, and the deer this time of year. Take care and have fun

Thanks for all the welcomes. It is nice to be able to ride most of the winter, but as Pam said the deer this time of year are a big problem. I enjoy hunting them, just not on a bike..

speedy1, yes I've had several Gran Torinos over the years. Now I only have one, owned it since 1988. 73 Sport fastback, red, bored and stroked 429, modified C6. Looks stock except for headers, the way I planned it. My first car was a white 72 Sport fastback with a Cleveland. There's nothing like a body on full chassis toy. :D

I really like the cars that came out in the early 70's. I bought one of those Red, White and Blue USA Mustangs when they came out. Bought it right off the truck at the dealership. Nothing fancy about it, but it would hold the road. 302 engine with auto. It had 102, 050 miles on it when I got rid of it. I cry now when I see how much they sell for if you can find one...

oh and by the way
Happy Thanksgiving everyone......

Good early morning Bogator. Is Valley down close the West Point Lake, if so I have been in a few crappie tournaments on that lake. It was 27 degrees here this morning at 0630, but I think I will take me a little ride to Cheaha later today. Have a good day in Valley and thanks for the welcome
