December Contest Entry

Postby wally » Fri Dec 02, 2011 1:16 pm

Well there's more than one way to skin a cat, I'll just enter this month's contest (the $50 gift certificate) and purchase a battery tender with it!

You got as much chance as anyone else to win it. The Honda shop locally is selling the new super duper Honda recommended chargers for $25, so if you lived here you could get two.....

You said that HONDA recommends it? or your DEALER recommends it? My local dealer sells a lot of things that I doubt HONDA would recommend or endorse. Which one are you talking about?

Oh ye doubter ye... It is the Honda Optimate 3+ which my dealer said Honda authorized a price drop on because they recommend it for everyone with a Honda, and especially the Goldwings. So, I guess it was my dealer who recommended it. But as it has Honda's name on it, I would think they also recommend it. Anyway, here, it was something like $89.95 and the dealership was flogging them out the door for $25 flat, so to me it was the one to buy. It has listed on it that it is a desulphator, a tester and a charger for maintenance free and gel cell batteries. It came with a two prong attachment to permanently install on the bike (like most motorcycle battery tenders) so it is easy to plug into. It also came with a two pronged attachement with clamps on the other end so it can be used with other than bikes. Seems like a pretty comprehensive unit to me. And it is about the size of a large test meter.

Than sitting in church thinking about my Motorcycle
