Dutch Winger seeking help

Postby fs259 » Fri Dec 25, 2009 3:29 am

Hi there,

This week I've been trying to fix the backlights in my (GL1500) radio. I do have one big problem; I can't find the correct type of lights over here in Europe. :( I did find one store in the US who still has some left, :) but they are not shipping to Europe. :roll:
Their suggestion was to ask a friend or relative in the US or Canada to order them for me and then forward them over. :?
Since I don't have a friend or relative over there, here's my question;

:D Is anyone over there willing to help a Dutch winger and become my American or Canadian friend?? :D

Frank

What's the store you're looking to order from? You might want to try CycleMax - I'm pretty sure they have the 1500 bulbs, and they ship worldwide.

The store that I was trying to order from is http://www.partstore.com/
I couldn't find the right bulbs at the cyclemax store. (I already knew that one and searched it before posting)

At partstore they do have the items I'm looking for but like I said, they don't want to ship outside the USA and Canada.
At this moment however I recieved another mail stating they only have one type (XAMR011SA) in very low stock.
Also I found a store in Ireland http://www.donberg.ie which sells the lights, but they don't have them in stock either. They could order them and then send them over somewhere in January.
Another tip I got from the Dutch message board is mentioning a shop in Holland (!). They are specialized in repairing all kinds of electrical equipment including all Panasonic guarantee repairs. (http://www.e-care.nl/)

I guess I will have to be patient and put the radio together again untill I get them. :(

Today I actualy found a store (in Holland of all places!!) who has the bulbs I was searching for. They should be arriving any day soon.
I'm glad I didn't put the radio together yet!!
