Hello from a new member.

Postby Mischief » Sat Jan 14, 2012 8:15 pm

Hi,

just thought I would introduce myself as a new member and also a new Goldwing owner.

I have another bike as well, but I purchased my first Goldwing today having watched my other half enjoying his. We both have another bike as well, he has a Suzuki 650cc V-strom and I have a Honda VT750 Shadow.

I have been riding since I was 16 on and off, and still find I have a BIG grin on my face every day I ride.

I look forward to chatting with you all, and thank you for the interesting posts I have already found helpful to me.

Caroline

Welcome Caroline!

I just read your message to my wife (who just learned to ride last year on a little 250 Yamaha that I got her) and she gave you a nod of approval and said, "wow, impressive!" :)

She'd love to take over our 1100, but it's just a bit big for her - in terms of engine, weight, and height - she's not much over 5'2", and she can barely touch the ground on her tiptoes.

Her plan is to ride the 250 for another year, and then next year switch up to something larger.

I hope we can be of some help with your new purchase! I'm rather partial to the 82 1100...they're a fantastic bike!

It's a small world, my wife rides a vt750, and now wants to upgrade to a wing like mine, but she is only 5'1" tall so I am concerened she will not be able to touch the floor.. Welcome to the club and stick up some pictures of all the bikes..

Welcome Caroline. No matter which bike you are riding the people here can help with repair advise. Sometimes it will end up in several different opinions and you have to choose which one you think is best, but most of the time it is pretty sensable.I hope you both have many happy years with your new wing. It is a very dependable and comfortable bike like no other.Drop a line , ask a question, we will do our best to confuse you.(lol)
