Just came across this site the other day..another great place to grab good info and ideas. My current ride is a 96 SE (Pearl White) with 183,000 miles on the odo. We also pull a 1988 Bunkhouse trailer for camping!

This was on a fire road in the N. GA mountains.

Wow, that's some serious mileage.. Great looking bike and trailer, I still can't bring myself to pull a trailer, but it is very practical. Welcome to the site.

What a nice picture, and also welcome to this site.I bet you have plenty of stories on that bike that you can share with all of us. And if you can tell us what you do for a living, post that too.

Winters are way to long up here in snow country, so at least we can read some, or just look at the pictures. :)

Thanks Phil...

For a number of years I worked as a Sr Network Tech for a Disaster Recovery company in Smyrna Ga. In 2010..they were doing a reduction in force and I was let go after 15years with the company. Was out of work for about 10 months and had just became certified as a fiber optic tech when a new job came along and I am now a provisioning engineer with a company that provides VoiP services.

All the miles on the Wing are mine..Our first adventure on the Wing was the first year we bought it in 1996, we were living in the NE and decided to make a trip to Nova Scotia..our last big trip was a 24day adventure from our home in GA to Lake Tahoe, CA and points West. We managed on that trip to camp in our trailer for 19 of the 24 days, hit 4-5 National parks including Yosemite, Death Valley, Monuments NP, Lake Mead NP and the Grand Canyon. It was one of our best trips so far.

Welcome from Michigan way, those are some great pictures. What kind of weight do you pull with that trailer? How was your mileage?

Thanks Phil. It was a great way to travel and I would do it again in a heartbeat! As of the 750F, I was the second owner..a friend had purchased it new and put 4100 miles on it and then stopped riding it and stored it his garage...about 12 years later he decided to sell it to me. I had a little bit of work to do to get it to run, replaced the charging rotor, coils changed the oil and cleaned the tank. Ran great and I put about 20k miles on it and last year decided to sell it. Sometimes I wish I didn't...but now someone else is having fun with it!

Thanks Wally,

Not really sure about the actual weight that we pull..have wondered that myself. I think the trailer empty is about 200lbs..fully loaded it may be 350. During the trip I kept records of the fillups and mileage and wewere getting about 32-34mpg..it varied with our speed.
