Hi, here in Aldergrove is a place called "Old Style Fish & Chips" is a real nice place to go, great portions and home made tartar sauce from his own recipe. there is another place a half hour ride from here in Mission called "Roco's Diner" also a really nice place to go and is quite popular for riders so you are likely to meet someone at random and compare rides.. :D :D

When in the Suburban Chicago area (like 25 to 28 miles straight out rte. 64 type of suburban) in either Carol Stream or West Chicago, IL there's a place called Augustino's "Rock and Roll Deli" http://www.augustinos.com/ Great food, subs, Italian dishes, burgers, pizzas....and in the summer, they have weekly cruise night at the West Chicago location on Tuesdays.
Second choice would be Portillo's..they're all over the place, the closest to me is in Saint Charles, IL. Great beef, brats, dogs, combo's..... http://www.portillos.com/portillos/

Being in the lower Fraser Valley, there are far too many to choose just one but the place we go more often that any other is Ocean Park in Brookswood (just S of Langley BC) for great Prime rib & steaks & greek also great pizzas & our seconf fav is Kam Wah in Langley. just a hole in the walll with about 10 tables for 4 but the best Chinese food in the lower mainland. But there is something here for everybodies taste from simple hamburger joints to some very good Curry places. Very multi cultural.

I have never been to augustino's but I've been to Portello's, hotdogs and the Italian sandwiches are so good there I totally agree, there's a place we loved on Algonquin Rd. in Rolling Meadows called Ritzy's...good food there..

Hey beave, when were you in R. Meadows?? That's where my son-in-law is from, and we just had his "Welcome Home" from Afghanistan celebration there today.
Man, if you ever in IL again, let us know. We'd have a blast.

Little Beav,
If you havn't been there, here in San Antonio, try Bud Jones at 1440 SW Military on the south side.
Biggest chicken fried steak in the county., Also, all the catfish you can eat for one low price.

If you are out riding locally, try the Trailriders Steak House , 1031 C. st. in Floresville,TX about 30 miles out hwy 181 So. If heading a little north, just east of New Braunfels at 1542 S. State Hwy 46 you fill find a great place called Clear Springs...another great seafood place. Those are three of my favorites...Of course for a cheap meal and good food, try La Chinita's 1012 Avondale, on SE side just off Goliad Rd. They have both Mexican and Chinese food. Of course I still like the Golden Corral on SE Military too when I am really really wanting to run my bloodsugars into the 500's.
