This crazy weather

Post by WingAdmin » Tue Jan 31, 2012 10:34 pm

This time last year, it was close to zero degrees, and I was using the snowblower to dig out from a couple feet of snow.

Today, it was sunny and 60 degrees, with no evidence that there has been any snow whatsoever. My wife asked if she could take her bike out. I just finished putting two new tires on it, so I got it down off the bike lift, and off she went for the afternoon. She was thrilled!

Of course, mine is still in pieces, so no riding for me.

A very warm day for January!

55F here yesterday, overcast and humid which made the pavement "sweat", and all the roads were wet. No riding on that stuff for me. :o

Same here with the weather in the 50s its just a shame that theyve dumped so much salt on the streets. Around here you can see some salt piles at the intersections.

68 degrees here. Has been relatively warm here for a while. Some of our trees are budding out and the daffodils and tulips are up about 6 inches.

This past weekend it was in the low 20's with a hard blowing wind making your teeth chatter. Yesterday it was 40 but we still had that cold wind. Today, it's 50 and by this afternoon they tell us it will be in the 60's so I'll hit the road again and get in my first February run ever. It has been a strange winter here in NH for sure. Oh, and we have no snow on the ground here where we had over 5 FEET last year !! :D

Been beautiful here in Chicago mid 50's. Roads are all wet and still salty in the morning when I leave for work so the bike is sitting in the garage. I hate to let her sit. I was thinking about this day last year when we got 24" of snow that started about 1 pm in the afternoon. Didn't make it out of my neigorhood for 3 days. Plows didnt get to me until the 3rd day after the storm.

In the U.P. of Mich we had 29 degrees and sloppy roads, so I don't even want to hear about all you people taking rides already. All I can do is start it up and dream.
