Welcome to the site wsterk!
You will love goldwingdocs. You will find this site to be very helpful.
I'm in the process of restoring an '84 GL1200 Interstate that has 56,000 original miles on it. It is my first Goldwing as well. A friend, who was the original owner, just gave it to me. It has been sitting for about 6 years and of course does not run. I just finished rebuilding the carbs and now its on to replacing fork seals as well as a list of many other things. I hope to have it ready for the road by mid-spring.
Again, welcome and good luck!

Hi Harkgold,
I bought the bike two weeks ago, so the only ride I made was from the dealer to mij home, 100 km's. Those where already ahwsome!
Ik only have to replace my frontfork seals also, but battery, alternator and brakes (incl fluids) are changed bij the dealer. So I am looking forward to ride it!
 If only temperature wood rise, it's minus 8 degrees celsius right now

Sounds like you are near ready to go Wsterk. Here in Iowa we have had the mildest winter that I know of in my 60 years. The last two days of January were 65 and 61 degrees farrenhite (sp). and the first two days of February was 59 and 57 which is unheard of for this time of the year in Iowa. Normally, in Iowa this time of the year it is below zero.
Even when the weather is nice I won't ride unless it is at least 55 degrees F.
I can't stand the wind chill.
Enjoy the Gold Wing!

Ok, 65 degrees fahrenheid is equal to 18 degrees celsius, overhere it is about 15 degrees fahrenheid fahrenheid-celsius with 10 cm's of snow (4 inch), so riding isn't possible yet. Waiting until march will take a very long time :D :D Thanks and greets!
