Hi Defender : First thing you have to push the switch on the radio ( first switch on top ) to alternate from earphone to speaker and if the sound cut of in your hat earphone, your mute swith must be on or stuck in the ( on ) position. When the mute switch is in the ( of ) position you are suppose to see a white line on the button if you dont see it it is probably stuck on, try to push the button on and of many time to see if the mute come of, if not you have to clean the switch.

Thanks for the feedback luck. My buttons all seem to work. Intercom works, radio and aux work thru headphone, when I alternate to speakers by pushing the audio button, nothing, no sound. The speaker symbol shows but no sound. Volume control still works. Just no sound.

Mute works fine. Switch works, the word Mute comes on and off in the display . Do you know where I might find the 40 amp amplifier fuse mentioned in previous posts? I have a 2002 model.

BEWARE !!! Open these little switch cases carefully! - There are little springs in them all (turn signal switches as well) that will go into orbit if you let them loose. If your garage is like mine they are gone forever.
Get a large clear Ziploc bag, put the switch and your hands into it when opening the switch case. That way if a spring launches itself, it gets caught inside the plastic bag instead of launching into the nether regions of your garage.
I am definitely going to have to use this trick. My starter switch is intermittently working (it will work if I barely touch the button, but not if I push it all the way in) and reverse, that operates off the same button, does the same. I will have to take it apart and give everything a good cleaning. A trusted friend said I also might want to stretch the springs inside a little to make them longer and put more pressure where the contacts meet.

Maybe you should check your all the fuses in the fuse box for bad fuses look at fuse # 21 and 22 to start, we never know it might be there !

I got in touch with Larry Mauer at wing connect. He gave me a test to do on my unit. It turns out my amplifier is blown and needs to be repaired.
