Post by myYellowbird » Sat Feb 26, 2011 7:19 am

ISO®-Grips for use with GL1800 Heated Grips Installation i put a set on my wing followed there directions put was not able to the clam shells to butt up tight. After fooling around a while i called Kuryakan the trick is wire ties i used 3 on each handle, pull them tight and they butt right up. Then i was able to get all the screws in using the blue lock tight worked well. Just a tip for others who may need this info

I have recently installed them on my GW Trike. Being a wood worker, I found it easier to use a couple of clamps, the kind you squeeze with rubber ends on the clamping parts. I could not get a good tight fit with the tie wraps. These clamps worked real good, and quick. The heated grips also worked just fine too. They along with the chrome levers make it looks great, and easier on the hands I might add.

Yeah, I hadda fight with them a little to get em on. Then I did the cable tie thing, and it all came together. Wish I hadda had a chance to read this before I started, but I did mine last fall. I love em, as my hands are not made for the skinny little GL1800 grips. Now I got some meat to grab onta.

Know what you mean about small grips. Waiting for the snow to leave, and then get on the road. First trip is to Yellowstone Park.
