Idle problem!!

Howdy, Newbe to the sight. I have a 1977 GL 1000 Old Wing. This my secound 77. My prob is it wont down idle when when down shifting. Motor just keeps raceing? Help!! Need to RIDE!!

Does it Idle in neutral, I'm sure it does...did you check your throttle wire assy sticking.Do you have the throttle lock set to tight.It should come back by it's self.

Thanks for the fast reply!! Nothing seems to be sticking. When I start her she idles fine but if I give her any gas it races throttle returns easly. Thanks for you TIME!!

Hi, there You might check the push cable on the throttle , My 78 was really easy to pull but my push cable was stuck in the housing when it broke the throttle was really easy to pull but it wouldn't slow down. Hope this helps, David in Cal.
