Anyone have plans/blueprints for a camper trailer??
I need to build a camper on my harbor freight 4x4 trailer.
I have searched the net for any plans to build one. The only one I can find is the teardrop trailer and I do not see me building one of those. I want to see what is behind me while riding.
I would love to build the one on utube with out the hydraulics.
Any info, plans, website with plans, ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I can not see me pitching a tent on the ground on my upcoming venture to Alaska.
I have 11 months to get something built.

You could probably take the idea from one of these and shrink to fit. http://tinyhousetalk.com/diy-tent-campers/

Above posts answered your queston on plans a DIY solution. Also, you may want to look at http://easy.sylvansport.com/ as they have a bolt on camper top.

Have you found you some plans yet that would work? If so can you share them?

I thought I had a plan but after the first cut with the saw I decided it would not work. It only gave me 10" of storage. My lantern is 14 inches and would not fit.
So I am still fretting on what I will be taking on my trip next year to NORTH TO ALASKA.

That is a pretty cool looking camper. I'm so gimped up that I feel like I slept under a rock pile, no matter where I lay my head these days. It always seems to take me an hour to work the kinks out in the morning...Andy Cote wrote:Above posts answered your queston on plans a DIY solution. I like the idea of a decent cot or hammock to put a sleeping bag in to make a good night worth of sleeping out of where ever I am. Camper mattresses (to me) aren't anymore comfortable than an air mattress on the ground, but I do like the ease of set up (like NONE) for that model "camper"... beats heck out of a tent any day.
I am wrong as often as I am right concerning what is wrong with someone else' motorcycle without having seen the machine in person. Guessing with limited information, as to the source of the trouble, is sketchy at best.

Those are COOL!! Reasonably priced, too, without much real DIY required.rodee71 wrote:Try this site. It has a DIY kit that could work. http://www.top-tent.com/tentunits/moabtent

Here is a link to the camper/trailer that I made. I used a harbor freight 4x4 trailer.
