The bike thing with age is ok as long as you can do it safely, the sex thing with age is you actually have to have a willing partner!!

Just noticed this thread.
The current saying "Live to Ride, Ride to Live" is a sanitized, politically correct version. When I started, it was,
"Born to Die, Live to Ride"
Too old ? PFFFFT! I want handlebars and 2 wheels on the box before I let them nail down the lid!

I am probably not as old as a lot of y'all yet, but I have always ridden. No one ever seems surprised that I ride. It will be coming up forty nine years riding in the next couple of months, legally, and I never rode illegally. My intention, when I can no longer keep a two wheel upright, is to trike it. Let's see them tell me I should quit riding then -   . I have seen little old ladies no bigger than a minute riding trikes.
It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey

+1 there!!

Isn't that what they make trike conversions for? If you can't do it on two, you do it on three. If you can't do it on three, you get carried by six.

I can connect with the trike statement because thats what happened to me, my wife says you can't keep it up any more (the bike that is ) so I triked it and now I can't keep her off it (and that to) - she's happy and I'am gonna ride till I die - fr1tz

Dave, if I have to turn over my keys at the gates, I'm not sure that that is where I want to spend eternity. Heaven is supposed to be a place of eternal happiness. I'm happy in the wind.
