Checking in after Mayan Calendar

Post by redial » Fri Dec 21, 2012 7:50 pm

Just checking in after the "end of the ...", whatever it was to be. All safe and sound here, and as we are +10.5 hours in front of UTC (GMT), then we should have gone first, after New Zealand and Fiji of course. Perhaps Kiwi2 has been shaken off his perch, as I havent seen any posts from him lately, - they do get a lot of earthquakes over there.

As I woke up this morning still breathing, then I guess it will be another good day in Oz, like most days in Oz. I can send you my warm tops if you are cold, as we only wear them for show  .

Len in Kapunda

The world is not going to finish today, as it is already tomorrow in Australia and New Zealand, and other islands of foreign nations such as Guam and Samoa.

Well we had our doubts yesterday as a huge snowstorm blew thru, so thinking maybe the calender was off by a few hours I just waited. But now that the snow has settled I believe we have witnessed the weakest end of the world I have ever seen.( given i have never seen any). So now what? If it was wrong? By how much? Do we sit with a prepper and hope they picked the right way of our demise? Nah, I have lived thru an embarresing war we lost, lying polititions, so many government type crisis's that now I just take it as it comes. If I wake up, good. If I dont, then I dont have to worry about it. But I do believe we will have a good Christmas and I sincerly hope all my online friends do also.

I think the only thing that ended was the Mayan Calendar. All else seems to be as would be expected.
It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey

That is probably what they were projecting.....that the Mayan Calendar ended. Hmmm, so it did come true ;)
