Bike MP3 Driving/Fog lights for 2012 GL 1800

Postby cahaulah » Sun Feb 10, 2013 8:11 am

Just installed a set of these on my 2012 (new style cowling with the weird shaped holes), can't say enough good about them. Installation very easy, only difficulty I found is it's pretty much impossible to hold the lights inside the cowling where you want them and mark the brackets, so for that segment another pair of hands is nice. Instructions very easy to follow, and Pete in service at Bike MP3 is very helpful if needed. If anyone interested, email me and I'll provide pics of the lights installed, Very satisfied with them.

Hi guys, as far as BikeMP3 is concerned, I know he' s got a lady answering the phone (Mrs. Pete?) but since it's my first dealings with them, just wanted to give a shout out to great customer service. The push-on/push-off switch was defective, wouldn't stay in for the "on" position, and like Big Bike Parts, when I contacted him, he didn't hesitate, didn't care where I bought it, which dealer, etc, just wanted my information so he could send me a new switch, which he did very promptly. Better than I can say for one of his competitors who shall remain nameless....

Here's the pics; as you can see, the OEM Honda lens protectors don't fit quite as well on the rectangular (or whatever they are) holes on the new style cowling, but as stated previously, they tend to give the lights the "smoked" look keeping with the headlights and the smoked turn signals I installed.

Hope this helps!

To the best of my knowledge, these were only made for the strange shaped holes (I've heard them referred to as a quadrilateral....whatever that is!) on the 2012 and newer Gold Wing front lower cowling. Electrical Connection started out with some lights they called "Six Shooters" that I saw on another bike, didn't care for them. I also don't care for EC's mounting system, had their round lights on a used bike I bought. EC now has a "Single Shot"for the funny shaped holes which I admit looks good (prefer the one single light to the two-per-side like I now have) but I have an overall problem with EC due to a customer service issue I had with them several years ago.

To each their own, hope this helps!

Just purchased 2012 CSC , Viper Trike. Noticed the odd shaped blanks on the fog light openings . My 1st thought , whats this going to cost. You have the answer ?
