2013 TomTom Rider GPS Interface to GL-1500

Last month I purchased a TTR for my GL-1500 but was disappointed it would not "speak to me" either externally or internally. Consulting with Scott I invested $30.00 in a GoGroove BlueGate Bluetooth receiver which I hooked up to the cassette adapter I was using for a MP3 Player.

Fix worked but I was not satisfied in that it killed all other audio and if I wanted to listen to music I had to disconnect the Bluetooth set up. Conversely if I wanted back into the GPS setup I had to stop and set up it anew. Scott told me he thought there was a 99% chance I could hook the Bluetooth to one of his input devices get the same results of those of you using a GPS with an audio output. After all, they both are looking for a signal.

Seeing that I was scheduled to go to Indiana to pick up a new m/c camper I opted to stop in Troy, OH and see the guys at Seirra Electronics. The input device was installed, Bluetooth receiver charged and hooked up and I headed down the road some $400.00 lighter (I did get me a new helmet and headset while there) listening to music only to be slightly interrupted by a voice that said "Turn Ahead" before it went back to music.

Only drawback was the Bluetooth had to be recharged (2 hours) for a 12 hour run . But, second day into use I tried charging it while on the road and it was hooked up. Worked like a charm.

That's fantastic, I'm going to add that information to the GPS Input page. Thanks for being the guinea pig!
