BUBBA KEG

Postby Uncle Fester » Thu Apr 16, 2015 9:42 pm

hey all, this is for those of us who use a Bike Butler 32oz drink holder, Bubba Keg has a new (I just found them tonight @ Academy Sports, but they do not show on the web site yet) 48oz Envy tumbler that fits in the BUTLER holder. . . . If you drink a lot, like I do, those extra ounces help when riding.

For those of us enlightened to metric measures, the Bubba Keg is available in 590ml (about 1 imp pint), 1010 ml (about 2.2 imp pints), and 1530 ml (about 3 imp pints). You must get really thirsty, so requiring quite a few pitstops! I prefer to stop and get a cool drink out of a portable cooler. Then have a pitstop at the same time.

I want one, that much iced tea makes for a good ride.

I drink 3 or 4 of these worth of water a day, everyday thanks to diabetes. . . . I stop every 150-200 miles for fuel and pit stop, so not a big deal for me. The large 48 oz (1.5 ltr) Bubba is the only one I found that fits the Bike Butler correctly. . . .

Good hot day I can sweat that much before needing fuel. Usually go through my 34oz of coffee riding 29 miles to church and hold out 4-5 hours before needing to go. 48oz ain't that much more, but would be welcome.
