Looking for the schematic diagram of the "Intercom Wire" for a Honda/Clarion Type II system with Intercom. This cable is different from the "Adapter Wire Harness" that performs the same function in a Type II system without the intercom and CB radio. I am adding the intercom to my system and have all of the parts other than the "Intercom Wire".

What function does this wire perform? It connects what to what?

This cable appears to distribute power among some of the components as can be seen in the Type II radio installation manual (specifically, the one that includes the CB and Intercom) that is available on goldwingdocs.com. The installation manual shows the cable, and for the most part identifies the connector types and colors correctly (One connector that should be a 3 pin red is identified as a 2 pin red, I think because there are only 2 wires used). The problem is that it does not specify the exact wiring within this cable, although where the connectors go to are clearly displayed.

In more detail, the six connectors on the "Intercom Wire" connect to the:
Component Terminal
Controller
Volt Meter (2 Connectors)
Fairing Wire (2 Connectors)

Wiring within harnesses is not normally specified, although sometimes you can derive it from schematics. Perhaps someone with a GL1100 could take a meter and figure out what pin connects to what?

I am hoping that someone with this cable will create a detailed schematic of this cable so that I can reproduce it. I have acquired the connectors, and I could probably guess how it goes together based upon the color coding of the cables it interfaces with. I have been chasing sparks now for over forty five years (Electronics Engineer), but one thing I learned about electronics; educated guesses are fine for some cases, but can lead to "Experience" (being defined by Murphy's Law, third corollary as: 'Experience is directly proportional to the amount of equipment destroyed'. Sometimes known as letting the magic smoke out. Do not want to have such "Experience" with my trusty steed.

I want to say thanks to Lance at Off Vintage Motorcycles. He has this cable as part of a complete system in stock and allowed me to pull it out and create a schematic from it so I could build my own cable. I now have an electronic schematic that I drew with enough detail that I think most anyone else could make their own if it was needed. I am willing to share this document, but it is not an img file, it is now a bmp or an sch file. The sch file requires a schematic drawing program to read.

Found how to upload here.

Intercom Cable schematic for Type II radio/intercom system when intercom is installed. The 'Adapter Wire' is different but required in place of the 'Intercom Wire' when you have just the radio without either the intercom, CB, or Cassette Player. If anyone needs the diagram for the 'Adapter Wire', let me know and I will be happy to create that schematic too.
