Virginia to Oregon ride (journal + videos)

Postby seattleboatguy » Wed Sep 25, 2013 8:49 am

I had a nice ride in June from my home in Norfolk, Virginia to Portland, Oregon. I have put together a journal and some YouTube videos that document the ride. The link below should allow you to check out what ever portion of the trip you are interested in. N-joy.

This is wonderful. I am going to enjoy reading/watching all of this.

What camera set up did you use for the on board filming?

Thanks for uploading

I got to tell you, this is professionally amazing. Pretty sure you just inspired me to do something similar, yet not to this level. I have a trip to Laguna Beach, CA to Charleson, WV in a week. Very nicely done.

Wow, I'm jealous. What a great time of year for a ride like that. Have a safe and enjoyable ride.

I read through the entire thing, including the buying the Wing, planning the trip...all of it (and a bit of the sailing to Bahamas as well). Excellent writing!

I'd love to see some pictures and descriptions of the little raincoats you made for your electronics. I currently just use ziploc baggies for this, yours looks like a much more elegant solution.

i enjoyed reading and viewing your post, can't wait to see what next year will bring, i did a Niagara Falls trip this year, it is always fun reading where the wing goes, and things you encounter on your trip, i am also from Va. , have a great holiday, talk to you later, Mike.
