We were only able to attend one Wings Over the Smokies, in Cherokee but really had a great time, love riding in the area, and the late September date is super, hope we can attend next year.

We hope you and All your friends can join us in September in Cherokee.........
The Rally Staff are working on the Pre-registration forms trying to get them ready..
According to our District Director most vendors check on the number of members and visitors that have Pre=registered around June to get an idea of how many attendees they can expect to addend the rally in September.

If the vendors don't think the attendance is big enough to make it worth while for them to travel to WOTS they will display their products at a larger event.
So in other words, the more riders we can get to attend the rally, the better chance we have to get more vendors to come in.
Hopefully the staff will have the Pre-registration forms ready soon. There will also be On-Site Registration and Day passes.
The reason WOTS was moved back to the mountain area is the New District Staff is trying to keep our rally alive and to give the attendees a rally site they can enjoy and have a good time in a area with good riding.
Without You and a good selection of Motorcycle vendors there will not be a NC rally. You don't have to be a gwrra member to attend and hope to see a lot of riders having a good time. Keep checking http://www.gwrranc.org for updates.

We attended the rally last year, the first NC rally for my wife and I both. I do remember hearing many from our chapter talk about all the great riding where the rally use to be, and didn't seem interested in pursuing this rally because of the new location. So hopefully we and others will make the rally in Cherokee 2014

The New Cherokee location will be better for all concerned , Both the attendees and the vendors, and NC Gwrra.
There are more attractions in the area for out of state visitors to enjoy, more hotels to chose from and they are located closer to the new rally site than they were in Concorde.
There will be more and better food vendors at the rally site than there were in the Concorde location.

Better Riding and more scenic areas, both local and close by, and will be more enjoyable for everyone.
NC is looking for all the rally attendees to have a good time in Cherokee and the surrounding area.

Hope to see a lot of our out of state and local friends again that we have missed seeing the last couple of years.
A listing of all the local motels, campgrounds and cabin rentals are on the NC Gwrra website under the Wings Over the Smokies link , and then the Lodging link.
