Postby phill12 » Wed Apr 30, 2014 7:56 pm

Ride with us down route 66 west from Oklahoma City to the Texas line as we pick up the remaining check points on “PASSPORT OKLAHOMA” Get Your Kicks On Route 66 Tour! Almost all the high ways we traveled are part of the old “Mother Road”

I know a lot of people enjoy the drive from end to end on the Mother Road, and many of them repeat the trip as often as possible , so that should give you a idea.

There is lots of history on that road from Motels, Dinners, and Fuel Stations that where built in the 40s, 50s, and 60s that are still standing and some still working, as well as other sites to see too along the whole route.

I have not done many miles on 66 , yet, but the road between Oklahoma City and Tulsa is a great ride, lots of gentle sweeping curves, sites to see, and a nice relaxed pace. . . .

I am sure some one who HAS done the full route will be along shortly. . . .

Thanks uncle F. Still not sure, but it's on my bucket list. Here in South Wales we have mountains, vallies and lots of bending roads, castles and stately homes. Perhaps you may find yourself here one day.

Put it on your bucket list too. One day we may meet up in either or maybe both countries.
