West Coast National Parks Trip

Postby djoyner » Tue Sep 01, 2015 7:02 am

I thought I'd share a short video that I made of my trip in July. The trip included Glacier, Yosemite, Sequoia, Redwoods and Kings Canyon national parks. The highlight of the trip was finally getting a chance to see the Golden Gate Bridge and ride the Pacific Coast Highway. In spite of the failed alternator in Glacier NP and a flat tire in Oklahoma, it was a great trip.

Looks like another trip to add to my bucket list.

Nice Video! The wife and I rode the California section of your trip in June. Absolutely stunning scenery.

We too rode out to the west coast this summer (from Alabama). After Sequia we cut across to SF and the Golden Gate then up Hwy 1 from there. What wonderful scenery!!. from the border of Oregon we cut up t0 Crater Lake then on up to Seattle. then east across upper WA and ID. BEAUTIFUL!! I could easily live up there (In the summertime)! All told we did 7200 miles in 20 days.

Planning on riding out there come spring, if all goes well. Being retired gives me lots of time to ride. Having a fixed income means having to put things off sometimes.
All the pictures and videos just give me more inspiration to get there. Now if I can just get over this darn cold!
