Postby Chickenlegs » Sun Sep 06, 2015 10:06 am

It may not be as good as my first video (Riding the Rocky's video) but here is my weekend trip (Aug 23rd) through the Black Hills of South Dakota

The wing on the newly paved road's was like riding on soft cloud's, I'm sure you guy's can relate. Hope you all like it. ps. turn up your volume.

Great video, bought back some fond memories for us! :D!

Great soundtrack too!
Luce wants all the tech details cause ours never turn out half as good.
How do you put the sound track on. Do you have a special program?

Where is the go-pro mounted? On your helmet?
I do see a shot of it mounted on the side of the bike.

For the go pro cam I use the "go pro studio" editing software, it's free, It just wants the camera's serial number (I think). You can "You Tube" how to use it. I just learned the basic's (I'm a slow learner). I have some mp3 music down loaded on my computer that you can up load on to "go pro studio". As far as mounting goes, the sticky mounts will stick almost anywhere, just really think about it before you stick it (they are hard to remove). Hope this helps. WOW, do you really live in Muscat, Oman ?

Ah, I had not earlier seen the "post reply" button, and wrote instead to "comment." But here's my post about this excellent video: It reminded me warmly of my last drive -- 60 years ago -- on this very road; I was in my then-new-to-me 1953 Pontiac, which I still own. It was June, 1955, and I was on my way to a job in Yellowstone Park. This video brought back to me those Black Hills tunnels, and in particular the loop-under-itself of the road! I had with me my little Zeiss Ikon 35mm camera (which I also still own), and took several slides of the route, including Devil's Tower. But, I have one picture, framed by the tunnel exit, of the faces carved on the mountain in the distance. I watched for the same view in the video, but saw it not. So, you'll have to go back again to get that view on your next video! Marvelous, nonetheless. Thank you. Joe Howe, GWRRA # 047340

Awesome
Brings back memories of our 8,000 mile trip in 2013 from SF to Yosemite, Yellowstone, Bear Tooth Pass, Sturgis, Dakotas, Denver, Mesa Verde, Grand Canyon, Death Valley across to nth of LA and back to SF
Iron Mountain Road with 400 corners and Needles Hwy with another 360 for more practice and pig tail bridges as a bonus
Crazy Horse Memorial would have to be the most magnificent monument every made
More trips to come.
Ride on
