2016 Yellowstone vacation ride (video)

Post by Chickenlegs » Sun Jan 01, 2017 11:02 am

Here's a 5 min. video of our 5 day ride through Yellowstone, Bear tooth pass, and the Grand Tetons. The weather was between 65 and 75f, sunny, no wind and hardly any cars :D. We were so blessed to have such a fun, safe, clean ride.

Very nice! And a good choice of music.
I especially like that the position of the camera is constantly changing.
Nothing more boring than a video where you have endless miles
of road filmed from a camera mounted to the front of the bike
without ever changing perspective.

Great video. Absolutely love riding the northwest part of the country. Planning a ride to up to Olympic National Park next spring.

Thanks for posting this. We have just been treated to a three part series on Yellowstone here in the UK so this fitted in wonderfully. Great to see those blue skies in the depth of winter too. Lovely video shots. The roads seem so quiet, if I were there I would be tempted to ride on the left.

Do you have any kind of a map that shows the route that you took?

I'm sure I can come up with some kind of map... maybe yellow highlight a map of my route, take a picture of it and post it. I know that's kind of old school but I can make it work. ;) Give me a few days or ??

Nice work! Been on all those roads a few times so it was nice to 'return' to them in the middle of our viscous cold weather!

Had to laugh, the video ends with the state sign of Nebraska...I know the scenery there can't match up to the Yellowstone region!

Great job on this montage of pics and videos.
I too have been over these roads on my bike 3 1/2 years ago, without video equipment though I did carry camera, so great to get some reminders of the beauty of our western states treasures.

Awesome, thanks for "getting me out and on my 95 1500", though it is still Big Winter here in No Cal.

Nice video! I'd love to ride out there.

Missing riding due to winter, I'd prefer hearing the Wing over the music. JMHO.

You just gave me some idea's for a future vid. I'm also missing the warm weather and the warm sun on two wheels.

Great video. The wife and I started out for the Bear Tooth Pass a few years ago, in June, but the day before we were to arrive an avalanche took out some of the road. We then went through Yellow Stone, the Tetons then headed over to Colorado before heading back home to Missouri.
We have not made it to the pass yet, but I would like so some day.
I loved your video and wish I could have been there with you.

Yes... What they said !!! Great video, great pics, and great music !!

Saw the GoPro on the handlebars but wondering what your helmet cam setup is. The selfie-stick was a neat touch too.
