Maine to Miami

Post by lamasue » Mon Jun 19, 2017 7:58 pm

Ill be leaving Maine about 3rd week of july,i have alloted 2 and one half days to get to south florida.i hope its not a heat wave on top of the regular heat and humidity that ill encounter.i have orderd a cool vest ,i wear a full face ,so ill quess ill just have to pour water on my head on my stops. Got a fresh gremlin bell, new rear tire, fresh spark plugs and a oil change,i have a harbour frieght trailer so ill bring spare bearings and a spare tire, hope the 8" tires can make 3000 highway miles.3 days at Marco island resort, mayby a trip to go to dinner in miami then back to Maine.

Are you going to ride the interstate or take the scenic ride from Ft Kent, Maine to Key West on US Rt 1?

There is nothing wrong with running 8 in tires. Another fable. I have been using them on two trailers for about 100 k miles. Never a problem of any kind. I run them at 25 lbs. and lube the bearings once a year. Have a safe trip.
