William, great pics! Keep July open for riding the UP. I'm hosting a ride then and of course you and the gang are welcome. Hell, you better show up :D
I was back in the U.P. back in june but I don't have all the pic's on this computer, what would matter is the date. I have a couple of friends that want to try an iron butt ride and if they are serious then the i'll ride with them for this ride, I did this one back in '14

if not I plan on doing this one

I would like to get over to copper harbor area though and I'm thinking about doing another route 66 trip

Thanks for sharing. Your report and pix bring back fond memories of the many rides I took in those places before moving to Arizona 4 years ago. I sure miss it, and get back there every summer. I have my '76 Wing stashed at my brother's house in Onondaga. One of the additional laws about fishing for surgeon is that to keep one it must be a minimum of 48 inches long.

Is that an auxiliary fuel tank on the back of your bike?

yes it is a 3 gallon fuel cell, the mighty ST 1300 only holds 7.7 gallons of gas and I wanted no needed a little more :)

Outstanding. That should give you a range of over 400 miles. It would sure come in handy if you do much riding at night out here in the Southwest. ;)

I've gone 297 miles on the main tank before opening up the cell but I've never gone more than 80 miles on the cell even though I know I can go farther

Nice pics. I often ride through the U.P. and the mitten, but it's too early to be the trip of the season!

hope we can all do a M&G or a mini M&G and do some riding in the U.P. I want to get out and see the Keweenaw peninsula or part of it
