Anybody restoring any bikes? I'm in the process of restoring a 1976 Kawasaki KZ900 LTD, 1980 Kawasaki Z1 Classic (G Prefix), 1970 Honda SL175. I already restored a 1973 Honda Z50 Mini Trail. only thing left is getting it painted.

Not actually restoring but repairing a 88 GL1500 after being submersed 4 feet under flood water...Haven't even started yet but I did drain the engine and filled the entire block with diesel fuel to protect it right away.
By the way..the Kaw....If it's like mine was, replace the ignition coils...They tend to get a bit weak.
After I got it fixed up proper and did a final tune,I took it for a test run.
A straight stretch....1/4 mile long...From a dead stop and 3 gears...I did see over 90mph...
White knuckles hanging on for dear life.
Sold it the next day.....Went and bought a Wing

Define "restoring" --
If it is a full back to NEW OEM restoration -- not me...:(
But if it is more resurrection ...?
I have done a few.... I call them "Resto-mod" because I take an old bike and get it running again.
The get it stopping and make it safe to ride - then make it presentable (pretty) and then typically sell them..
Here is the list for the past 6-7 years of tinkering...

1980 Honda CX500

1982 Honda CX500 Custom

1983 Suzuki GS650GL

1980 Honda GL1100

1992 Honda Goldwing GL1500 (with sons 1990 Miata)

1983 Suzuki GS850GL (currently in stable)
