Front tire

Post by Bubba54 » Thu May 11, 2017 4:51 pm

1985 Rebel 250 given to me by my nephew. He parked it in his shed in 2005 until Thanksgiving 2016. I completely went through the whole bike and it runs good but when it was on the lift I noticed the wheel was out of round. Bearings are good and doesn't wobble. Could this be from setting in northeast weather for 12 years in the same spot? Is there something I could do besides get a new rim? Thanks Randy

Spoked wheel, right? If so, a good spoke guy can true it up. If it is a cast wheel, then probably a new wheel.
It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey

I'd say you have several friends who might be able to help, it's just that most of us are available on the internet.

Are you certain it's the rim and not just the tire??
