1976 GL 1000 main nozzles

Postby tremba » Mon Feb 27, 2012 1:37 pm

Hello
I have a problem with finding nozzles for my GL. I am really trying to find these over www but as I figured out they are hard to find, and even if I find them it is not possible to ship it to Poland. Maybe someone have some spare ones in good shape and is willing to sell them, or just have any info about how to obtain these parts? Honda part number is 16166-371-004. I am hoping that there is still possibility for reviving my black beauty, and I appreciate any help in this matter.

Sorry I don't have a lead for you,but an alternative is to put on a set of carbs from a 1100.just plug the vacuum port.

These guys might have what you need. I have purchased from them in the past and have had no issues with them

Many thanks guys, I think I stay with original carbs. Unfortunately cycledesing also does not seem to be able to ship anything to Poland. So I am still looking for solution :( .

Now I won't say for sure...but heres a thought...The bike has 4 carbs,the engine is 1000 cc.
This means that each carb is designed to operate a 250 cc cylinder.
You might find another bike that uses the same BRAND of carb that also uses the same size jets.
I've never researched this, but a jet is a jet.As long as it fits and the metering hole is the right size,it will work.
Oh and one other thing...why do you need new jets? just curious. :ugeek:

Somebody played with carbs before and nozzles are slightly damaged-I think it may cause trouble later on. Besides my idea is to have really good restored goldwing.

I suggest you contact Pistol Pete Carb Service. Normally Pete rebuilds GL1000 carbs but your situation is different and I think he could ship you jets.
