I want to thank everyone for their welcome. My son and I pulled the carbs of the 76 and started cleaning and rebuilding them. It is apparent that someone has been monkeying with them from the stripped and misc. screws. When I split the housing to clean and remove the carbs I found that the flame screens are missing. Does anyone know if it will run properly without them. You can no longer order them from what I can tell so I would have to find used ones. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Want to correct that the project bike is a 1979 Wing and not a 1976 as is posted under the pixs. I shouldn't post things when I'm tired.

Welcome. A nice 79. also look under the for sale/wanted forum...people adding stuff their all the time. List what you are searching for...someone probably has some lying around somewhere.

Thanks to everyone for their replys. I found a motorcycle junk yard about 75 miles from my house and was able to get the flame traps. I'm letting my son rebuild the carbs so he can learn about them. He just about has them done and we hope to get them on this weekend. I'll post how that goes later.
