76 POINTS?

Post by sonnyboy » Sat Feb 13, 2010 9:33 am

I have started to bring back to life a 76 GL1000 for a friend of mine and got to the check points step in my checklist. When I removed the point cover there were no points, but a black molded unit in there. Also the condenser is disconnected. Was there a electronic (trigger) unit available for these WINGS ?
Thanks for any help on this matter, SONNYBOY

Hey Sonnyboy
Sounds like a Previous Owner installed a electronic ignition--i like mine !!
Yes the condenser is required to be removed or disconnected
Take the name off it and go on line you should be able to get the data you need to adjust etc , that's how i found mine If you have trouble let me know and i will dig my info out

Sonnyboy
Dyna s Electronic ignition is what i have Part # DS1-3 for Honda Gl 1000 motorcycles---you can find it on the Internet under DYNATEK--if you have any trouble let us know , the site seems confusing at first , i believe you are looking for downloads , hope this helps
