1979 GL1000 stator wire location
I am repairing a friends 79 and it is not charging. I wanted to test the stator and remove the connecter that is such a problem. I am having a tough time finding those wires and connector. It is not in the same place as my 75 , or 81. Do I just need to "dig" a little deeper? They were right in plain site on my bikes. Not this one.

can you see where they exit the Stator near where the kick starter post used to go? Maybe the three pin connector is gone by a PO?

On my 79 it was tucked in along side the rectifier hiding in a rubber boot
i cant show you a photo of it. as i have taken the rectifier and regulater out. and fitted a single unit
