not my first goldwing, but it is my first restore project. Frame is straight, need to clean gas tank, replace wiring harness and cables. Friend is helping me with engine. Any suggestions where to start on nonengine areas?

Congrats super great find---what happened to the harness ?
Depends on how it was stored-gas tank for sure, carbs , Randakk video and kit , clean tank and clean carbs make for a pleasant job, rebuild brakes , change out coolant (i use Honda coolant )
I would imagine the tires & timing belts are original, gotta go !
Randakk site has section on waking a sleeping wing , well worth the read

Enjoy your project
Terry
