I was just looking at what is left of my two Wings. Looks like pretty much the top of each bike burned up but from the carbs down both seem ok. I see a lot of non running GL1000's for sale. Most need carb work. I'm wondering if my carbs on the 1983 Aspencade would work on one of the Gl1000's. I like the accelerator pump in those. As always I appreciate any info!

Folks often run the GL1100 carbs with the accelerator pump on GL1000's in that you no longer need the choke restriction. So if they did not get too hot and melt all the o-rings and gunk up the fuel, then they should sell well. The engine as a whole may still run with a coolant and oil change, and if so the price would go way up for parts as well as the unit. You do not need full wiring harness to run the engine for a short time.
