Valve adjustment…multiple loose valves.

Postby Lastwachter » Fri May 16, 2014 2:46 pm

I read the valve adjustment how to on the site and am following along with it. However in the how to it states that I should feel movement on the intake and exhaust on rocker arm 1. And this is true, but I also feel movement on exhaust rocker arm 3. I have tried rotating it again two more times to T1 and always get the same result.

The same thing happens when I rotate it to do the other side. I get movement on rocker arms intake and exhaust 2 but also on exhaust 4. So in other words I am getting movement where the How-To says I should, but I am also getting movement in other arms. Am I doing something wrong? Is this normal?

So in total I get...

First T1 setup. Movement in:
Intake 1
Exhaust 1
Exhaust 3
Intake 4

At Second T1 setup I get movement in:
Intake 3
Intake 2
Exhaust 2
Exhaust 4

I just found this article that confirms that maybe I am not actually crazy after all. :)

I will continue on with the adjustments.
Thanks
