too much oil in valve cover/muffler

My 1978 goldwing gl 1000 runs awfull all the sudden ( after 4 years ) ,,,started up this spring,,,smokes BAD,,,won't stay running,,,leaking oil all over out muffler on left side,,I took off valve cover,,,,,LOTS of oil,,,I hit starter,,it gushes oil between bottom valves,,,,I know it is supposed to have oil there but it gushes out faster than the hole in the bottom can drain,,,,PLEASE HELP ?????????????? HEAD GASKET ?????? RINGS ????? I only have 51,ooo EASY miles..I baby it,,,

Is the oil coming out from the valve? Pull the spark plugs on that side, are the plugs oily?

Not coming from valve,,it is coming from in between bottom by exhaust valves like where the cam hits rocker arm piece,,,,I Am not a mechanic,,,,it is gushing a lot of oil,,,,,,

Have a look at the plugs, see if just one or both on that side have oil on them.
