Need bearings, HELP!!!!!

Postby Haggis68 » Fri Aug 08, 2014 4:19 am

I am currently rebuilding a 1976 GL1000 and need the connecting rod bearings for 2 & 4 piston, part# 13216-371-003. I have tried numerous web sites that have them listed but when I try and order they tell me they have none in stock. Can anyone help me find some PLEASE!!!!!

Sorry,
Right at this moment I already have 5 guys looking for these brown bearings. No-one has them. I have a huge list of NOS dealers who all know that they can call me any time they get any bearings in and I will take them. Honda has told one dealer to stop bothering them about them.
I'm always looking, but the last few I had cost me silly money too. I had a contact in Brazil, who only had one half shell, who wanted US$75 plus shipping to UK. Not the colour you need anyway.
Contact me at WinGovations, send me your info on the Parts Request form and I'll add you to the list. Best I can do right now.

Got the numbers mixed up. It's black you are looking for. I might have some coming soon; not sure on that but watch this space.

As something to note for all you re-builders. Although the manuals call for the bearing with the oil hole in both rod and cap of #2 and #4, you obviously only need the oil hole version in the rod. You can use the non-oil-hole bearing (as for the #1 and #3) in the cap of #2 and #4.
Likewise, you could also use the oil hole type in the cap of the #1 and #3.

You can check which is which on my chart:

This gives you a good deal more chance of getting your engine built!
