Starting Problem '80 also on NAGW Forum

My '80 is driving me CRAZY! I recently removed the carbs, gave them a good cleaning and reset the float levels. The bike started and ran, and I took a test ride. Parked it overnight, went out to sync the carbs, the bike wouldn't start. I changed the CDI spark units, the Engine Command Module from my running Aspy. The bike fired immediately, ran smooth, responded to throttle and ran for several minutes. The next day, I begin to sync the carbs, and it won't fire. I installed the aspy coil packs, and it still won't start. There is weak spark at the plugs, barely visible, not the bright flash we all love to see.

I've checked the Pulse Generator as per the Honda manual, it's fine and functioning. So to sum it up, I have fuel, compression, spark, correct timing, known to be working coil pack, CDI's, EC Module, properly functioning carbs, ON A BIKE I WAS RIDING TWO DAYS AGO!!!!! The battery is on a charger, is fully charged, the bike spins as it should with a healthy battery, the clutch perch is engaged with the aid of a bungee cord, the ignition switch makes everything light up as it should, and it refuses to fire over, even with the aid of starting fluid, and gasoline poured in the plenum. The kill switch is functioning properly, and this makes no sense to me!!!!

After a week of total frustration, changing everything that could be changed, the Engine Control Module, Spark units, coil pack, wires, plug caps, plugs, cleaning every terminal and plug in the system, I finally discovered a loose ground on the coil pack, tightened it up and it started right up.
